Animal models have been and are essential tools to investigate the mechanisms involved in triggering a variety of diseases of man and in the design of therapeutic strategies for treatment.
In this course students will know the usefulness of animal models in biomedical sciences especially for a deepening in the pathogenesis and pathophysiology of human diseases.
They will also get acquainted with the methodologies for obtaining material and sample preparation, as well as the biochemical and physiological determinations of different parameters in experimental animals that enable the characterization of various animal models.
